Our Pompton Lakes clients owned a typical two-story contemporary home with vertical wood siding—a style known for water infiltration issues. Over time, this led to surface deterioration, visual wear, and even structural damage. They knew it was time for a serious upgrade.
A Fresh Vision Brought to Life with Customizable Designs
When they reached out to K&B Home Remodelers, we started with what we do best: visualizing the possibilities. Using full 3D design renderings, we helped the homeowners explore multiple layout and style options—ultimately guiding them toward a more modern and refined exterior that completely transformed their home’s look.
Why They Chose K&B for Their Exterior Renovation
Our clients were referred by a neighbor whose home we had recently remodeled—proof that happy customers talk! What really sealed the deal was our transparent, line-by-line cost breakdown and our design-first approach. They appreciated being able to visualize every option before committing to a final plan.
A Fully Integrated Exterior Home Remodel
To address both aesthetic and functional concerns, we provided a full suite of exterior remodeling services. We also redesigned the window layout to maximize views of their beautiful backyard, deck, and nearby lake.

Overcoming Unexpected Challenges
Mid-project, we discovered significant structural damage—floor joists, main load-bearing walls, and columns were compromised. After the homeowners contacted their insurance company, our team stepped in to perform all the necessary reconstruction, including interior finish work, to restore the home’s integrity.
A Home That’s Built to Last—and Enjoy
The homeowners were so pleased with their remodeled home that they immediately hired us again—this time to redesign and build a brand-new Trex composite deck featuring a modern cable rail system and integrated lighting.
What began as a repair turned into a total transformation, improving not only the home’s durability but how the family experiences their space every day. With panoramic lake views, modern design, and rock-solid protection, this Pompton Lakes home is now everything the owners dreamed it could be—and more!
